Mr. Ved Parkash Ahuja did his post graduation in Commerce from Delhi University, obtained Diploma in Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. He worked in the Ministry of Planning and in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India before being inducted in the Indian Economic Service in 1994. After working at various capacities in the Ministry of MSME, Planning Commission and Ministry of Agriculture, he retired from the post of Additional Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Agriculture, GOI. Prior to his retirement he was working as Scheme Director of the Agro Economic Research Centres’ Scheme of the Ministry of Agriculture. He is associated with the Agricultural Outlook Project as Consultant.
Dr. Saurabh Bandyopadhyay obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 1996. He joined NCAER in 1995. Prior to Joining NCAER, he worked with the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi. With over 17 years of research experience, Dr. Bandyopadhyay has gained experience in a working on a wide range of issues covering trade, agriculture and economic policy reforms. Currently Dr. Bandyopadhyay is leading the survey of farm sector as part of NFSM/FAO project.
Mr. Palash Baruah is working as Research Analyst at National Council of Applied Economic Research He has done his Masters in Statistics & currently pursuing his PhD. He has been involved in many large-scale studies at NCAER related to Agriculture, Households Income & Expenditure, Youth, Impact of Communication on Economy, Small Borrowing etc.
Dr. Mondira Bhattacharya works as a Associate Fellow at NCAER. She did her M.A. and M.Phil in Geography with specialization in Agricultural Geography and then went on to do a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Before joining NCAER she had worked at the Confederation of Indian Industry - Food and Agriculture Centre of Excellence (CII-FACE), Council for Social Development and the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE) at the Institute of Economic Growth, New Delhi, in various capacities. She has interest in a range of issues relating to agriculture such as the international patents, WTO sanctions, fertiliser subsidies, agricultural diversification and impact assessment. She has several research publications to her credit.
