The National Food Security Mission (NFSM) and the Ministry of Agriculture are supporting the project through extensive interactions with the study team and providing access to information available with the ministry.

The project requires interactions across a number of researchers, institutions and agencies. The monthly briefing meetings in the Ministry of Agriculture are an opportunity to interact and discuss issues relating to the outlook for the food commodities. More specifically, the project team is collaborating with Institute of Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore in the development of an econometric model for assessing the medium term scenarios for the food sector. Dr. Parmod Kumar, Professor and Head of Agricultural and Rural Development and Transformation Unit in ISEC is collaborating on the project on the modeling work form ISEC (www.isec.ac.in).

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Rome is supporting the work on additional data collection to supplement the available information for the assessment of agricultural outlook. FAO is also participating in the development of models and bringing international experience in agricultural outlook assessment to this study.
